| Since nobody seems to post on or pay attention to xanga anymore, it bores me now I'm jumping ship and focusing on facebook from now on. It's gotten way more sophisticated lately and even people who have been graduated a while are still updating it. I'll still read the xanga subscription emails and comments, but I doubt I'll post unless I'm really trying to get the word out about something. Look me up on facebook if you're on there. |

| My profile has a new look and new profile pic. For those of you reading this by email, VISIT NOW IF YOU ARE EVER TO BE WHOLE AGAIN! The comments page still looks the same because it's not affected by xanga skins. I might change it later if I feel like it, but I do'nt feel like reverse engineering the skin to find the font and background colors right now. |

| Vacation Planning
I'm taking the whole week of thanksgiving and the whole 2 weeks of christmas and new year's off this year. Where should I go? I was thinking of flying to San Francisco from friday before thanksgiving to tuesday before thanksgiving and then just relaxing here in LA during the busy travel time. It's far enough away that I'd have to fly and stay in a hotel but not too far that I'd have a horribly long flight and pay a lot of money. I'd go on vacation sooner but I just got converted from temp to permanent this month so I don't have any vacation time accrued yet. My last vacation was back in december when I took a week off after having been in the hospital for a week. fun fun fun! Oh well...only 6 months to the next one |

| California Gold Rush Part II How is it that the median house price for the country is $250,000 but the cheapest house in all of southern california is $400,000? We can't have a single house that's at least not almost double the norm for the rest of the country? Go away investors and let those of us who really want to live in the house pay a reasonable price for it. You heard me real estate speculators...go on now...GIT!!!! According to the mortgage calculator on the CalHFA website, the minimum income to get approved for a $400,000 mortgage is over $100k/year. You literally have to have a 6-figure salary to be a single homeowner in this state. And even if you can manage to get a mortgage anyway, the monthly payment is almost $3000 for a mortgage of that size. It's so bad that even fixer-uppers and foreclosures are selling for full market value because of all the people trying to fix them up for a profit. So I guess I'm stuck renting until I either get rich or get married to someone with equal or greater income to combine with mine. |
